The main venue for the tournament is Shikoku Saburo no Sato - in Japanese, 四国三郎の郷 - a motor camp and campground with adjacent playing fields, located on a picturesque bend of the Yoshino River in Mima-shi, 美馬市, Tokushima-ken. See the map below for a better idea of the location or follow this link to the Shikoku Saburo no Sato website.

The best way to get to the tournament, and just about anywhere else on Shikoku, is by car. We recommend that you grab mates with vehicles, share the driving and car pool your way here. There is plenty of parking available, you'll be able to get to local shops and the onsen easily, and you can arrive and depart at your own leisure.

In brief:

Seto Bridge to Sakaide IC Route 438 to Mima-shi Turn right onto Route 12 Turn left at the sign to Shikoku Saburo no Sato
|
Take the exit that goes to Takamatsu (高松) so that you come off the expressway driving east along the Route 11. Stay to the left as you pass back under the expressway, because you need to immediately take the exit on the left. It will lead to a set of traffic lights, where you should turn right under another overpass, onto the Route 438. If you miss this turn and continue over the overpass along the Route 11, you will end up in Takamatsu city.
Stay on the Route 438 all the way to Mima-shi, about an hour's drive through the countryside of Kagawa and over the hills into Tokushima-ken. You will pass the Mima IC and come to a Lawson at the intersection with Route 12. Turn right onto Route 12, heading west, and drive for about 3km until you see a sign pointing left to Shikoku Saburo no Sato.

Akashi Bridge to Itano IC Route 14 becoming Route 12 to Mima-shi Turn left at the sign to Shikoku Saburo no Sato
|
The exit points you south, and you should simply carry on straight from the exit until you hit the Route 14. Signs directing you to Ikeda (池田) or Wakimachi (脇町) are going the right way, so turn right to head west. The Route 14 turns into the Route 12 just a little further down the road in Kamiita-cho, but just keep going. You will pass through Wakimachi before hitting Mima-cho, both of which are part of Mima-shi. As you drive past a Lawson at a major intersection with the Route 438, continue on for about 3km until you see a sign pointing left to Shikoku Saburo no Sato.

When you get off at Mima, turn right onto the Route 438 until you come soon to a Lawson at the intersection with Route 12. Turn right onto Route 12, heading west, and drive for about 3km until you see a sign pointing left to Shikoku Saburo no Sato.
By train
There is no train station in Mima-cho itself, but just across the river in Handa-cho
(part of greater Tsurugi-cho) is JR Awa Handa (JR阿波半田), the nearest station
to Shikoku Saburo no Sato. So it is possible to get here by train, but you'll need
to be picked up from the station and returned there on the Sunday - we cannot
guarantee that someone will be able to do that for you!
The only train line from Honshu to Shikoku is over the Seto Bridge, from Okayama to
Sakaide and Takamatsu. It's called the Dosan Line (土讃線). Jump on a train
(express) from Okayama heading to JR Awa Ikeda (JR阿波池田), where you will change
to the Tokushima Line and head east until JR Awa Handa. A taxi from JR Awa Handa
to Shikoku Saburo no Sato will cost about 2000 yen - call Handa Taxi on 0883-64-3141.
By highway bus
There are highway bus services run by Shikoku Kotsu (四国交通) from Hankyu Sambangai
in Osaka and from Sannomiya in Kobe to JR Awa Ikeda that stops at the Mima IC, running
several times per day. Again, though it is relatively close by, we cannot guarantee
that someone will be able to pick you up from the bus stop or return you there to
depart on the Sunday.
